STEFANOS ANDREADIS

Composer, guitarist

Educator at the Ionian University, Greece

In his musical journey so far, Stefanos Andreadis has carved out his distinct musical identity and his own space in the Greek jazz scene through his distinctive compositions and his tenacity and devotion to his aesthetic choices. Since 2010, Andreadis musical vehicle, the Flying Jazz Trio, consists of himself on guitar and compositions, his permanent collaborator, the Promethean Hammond Organ virtuoso George Kontrafouris and the unboundedly new star creative drummer Nick Thessalonikefs. Their fifth album, ‘Confessions’, released in June 2025 by PKMusic, follows in a long tradition of organ trios featuring the electric guitar. Andreadis leads the trio with a clear, melodic voice on the guitar, combining thoughtful writing with deep groove and fluid interplay.

Alongside Greek jazz icon George Kontrafouris on Hammond organ and Nick Thessalonikefs on drums, the trio delivers a modern take on the organ trio sound—refined, soulful, and full of character. A refined trio that bridges tradition and personal expression with ease. The group appeared in dozens of International jazz festival in Greece as well as in Ukraine (Odessa international Jazz festival 2016), in Cyprus (Limassol-International jazz festival 2018), Lefkosia-Axiothea, International Jazz festival 2022, Albania (Tirana-Balkan JazzShowcase Festival 2018). Stefanos and George hold an academic position at the Ionian University, Music Department, Jazz Studies (Associate professors).
