He studied classical piano since the age of 9. In 1988 he moved to New York and continued his studies in classical piano with Paul Sheftel and jazz piano privately with Lee Evans and later with Horld Danko at the Manhattan School of Music. He received his MA in composition in 1998 from Hunter College. During his MA studies he studied jazz piano with Mike Longo and composition with Anthony Branker. He has been working professionally as a musician since he first went to NY and has been performing since then with the Greek communities.    He has performed in major concert Halls, and important festivals all over the world such as the Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center and the    Schomburg Center, the Blue Note, Birdland, Cape Cod Jazz Festival, 92nd street NY, Cornelia street Café, Lycavitos Theatre in Greece, Antiqua Festival and many more. He also gave performances in various Universities such as the Yale, Cornell, Princeton and St. Louis University. His compositions and arrangements are featured in a number of recordings. Many of his compositions are influenced by the Greek Folk and rembetika songs. For his appearances he has been favourably mentioned in many reviews including Jazz Times and Jazz improve magazine. His own recording PROGRESS was released in April 2010 and has received a great praise and highly favorable reviews.

CHRISTOS YEROLATSITIS (pianist, keyboardist,composer)    Christos Yerolatsitis is a Cypriot pianist, keyboardist and composer. With an interest in various music genres, Christos’s music can be characterized as colorful, intuitive and diverse.    Christos moved to The Netherlands in 2008 where he lived for 9 years. Soon after his arrival he got into the Dutch jazz scene and performed all around the country with well known artists, such as Benjamin Herman, John Ruocco, Simon Rigter, Ben van den Dungen, Ben Van Gelder and others.    In 2016 he appeared in the biggest theaters of the country with the “Eef van Breen Group” in cooperation with the extremely successful theater production “Borgen”.    In 2017 he moved to Mumbai where he got employed as the head of the Piano department of the True School of Music, one of India’s biggest music schools. During his stay in India, Christos has performed with many bands in music festivals and jazz clubs and shared the stage with names such as Ranjit Barot (John Maclaughlin’s drummer) and Erik Truffaz (trumpet) as well as Indian Carnatic musicians like Sabir Khan (Indian Sarangi player) and Bangalore Amrit (Indian Khanjira).    Christos is currently based in Cyprus working with various International bands as a leader and a sideman.

He has played concerts at the Royal Festival Hall in London and Sun City Music Hall in Johannesburg South Africa. He has been an instructor of Jazz Music at the European University Cyprus 2009.
